Great lakes center for the arts - Cirque Mechanics' “Tilt”
Cirque Mechanics' “Tilt” performance at Great Lakes Center for the Arts on October 16-17, 2025, was a huge success. There were approximately 500 students and educators at each performance, with both shows sold out and substantial waiting lists. Students, parents, and teachers alike shared extremely positive feedback. Support from a recent Arts & Culture grant helped many Charlevoix County students experience this live performance they might not otherwise have been able to attend. The matinee performance was entirely free for students and school districts, removing barriers and increasing access to the arts. Post-performance feedback through Survey Monkey confirmed that the show was a hit with students and educators alike! One teacher shared, “Our second graders returned to school absolutely energized after the performance! We had rich conversations about the dedication, stamina, and years of practice it takes for performers to reach a professional level. The experience also opened up a great discussion about future careers—both on stage and behind the scenes—and all the different paths they could explore one day. It was a truly inspiring day that sparked curiosity, creativity, and big dreams!”
