Bill and Mary Glenna Malpass

Bill and Mary Glenna Malpass loved northern Michigan.  They felt very fortunate to live and raise their family in East Jordan.  Their six children grew up enjoying the woods, the wildlife, and the water.

Bill worked for over 50 years at the family business, East Jordan Iron Works (now known as EJ).  Mary Glenna attended to family and actively participated in the community, including the First Presbyterian Church of East Jordan.

During summer months, the family enjoyed swimming, boating, fishing, and campfires on Lake Charlevoix.  Cousins and friends frequently joined them for weekend gatherings.  During the winter months, the family could be found sledding on nearby hills and skating or ice fishing on the Lake.

These generous individuals made a difference close to home during their lifetimes.  With the William E. & Mary S. Malpass Fund, a permanent endowment at the Community Foundation, Bill and Mary Glenna’s love for this community lives on.
